National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management NCSCM has been established
by the Society of Integrated Coastal Management SICOM of Ministry of
Environment and Forests, Government of India to develop world class knowledge
base in India, related to management of the coastal and marine areas. NCSCM is
inviting applications for the following positions.
Post:
Scientist
- B [GIS System Engineer]
Qualification
:
First class Masters degree in relevant Natural/
Social sciences or first class degree in Engineering / Technology from a
recognized University with 1 year experience in research related to geospatial
aspects of coastal zone. Desirable : Working experience and knowledge of remote
sensing and GIS especially for coastal and marine areas
Scientist
- B [Environmental Analyst]
Qualification
:
First class Masters degree in relevant Natural/
Social sciences or first class degree in Engineering / Technology from a recognized
University with 1 year experience in coastal/ marine EIA studies. Desirable
:Working experience and knowledge in environmental monitoring
Scientist
- B [Environmental Analyst]
Qualification

NT server, computer network maintenance and applications

Technical Assistant
Qualification
:
Graduate degree from a recognized university (or)
Three years regular Diploma in engineering with 1 year experience in system
management and hardware maintenance. Desirable :Assist the Deputy Director of
NCSCM, Head of Futuristic Research Division, Head of Coastal Environmental
Impact Assessment Division in the Research & Development activities
Accountant
Qualification
:
Graduate in commerce or economics. Desirable :
Assist the Head of Finance and Procurement division for account management and
sanctions. Persons with training / exposure in Accounts and stores work will be
preferred.
Stenographer
Qualification
:
Graduate degree in any discipline (or) Higher
Secondary from a recognized board with 3 years experience as steno having
working experience in word processing etc.Desirable :Experience of working in
Government / PVT Ltd. / NGOs, passed in stenography
Age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5
years for SC & ST Candidates and for employees from Government/ Semi
Government/ Autonomous Bodies applying through Proper Channel, subject to
fulfillment of all conditions and concessions prescribed by Government of India
from time to time. Further age relaxation may be considered in case of
exceptionally deserving and highly experienced candidates.
The committee may consider selecting any outstanding
and academically deserving candidate for a higher position, based exclusively
on research accomplishments in national and international institutions and
academic merit and not on the desired qualification or pay band. Fixation of
higher pay will be considered by the selection committee for persons with
extraordinary qualifications and experience. A candidate can apply for a
maximum of two positions and should submit separate applications for each post.
The selection committee will disqualify if more than two applications are
received from the same candidate. Candidates will have to produce the proof of
details furnished in their applications, in original, as and when required. Number
of years of experience will be counted after the year of award of the qualifying
degree. First class means 60% of marks and above.
