Eligibility for Physically Handicapped:
a) 3 % of total No. of Apprentices to be trained is reserved for PH Quota.
Physical Handicapped persons under the following physical standards as per the provisions of Schedule – II of Apprenticeship manual and Railway Board’s letter No. E(MPP)2003/6/14 dated 09/12/2003.
b) Standards of fitness for the Physically challenged candidates:
Only Loco motor or Cerebral palsy (OH) who suffers from not less than 40% of relevant disability and Hearing Handicapped having 60 decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequency are eligible to apply.
c) (i) For Loco motor or Cerebral palsy (OH) :
1) Fitter :- Lower limb partially damaged from one side can join.
2) Turner : - Lower limb partially damaged from one side can join.
3) Machinist: - Only small finger damaged can join.
4) Welder :- A person without leg and without three finger of one hand can be accommodated.
5) Electrician: - Partially lower limb can be accommodated.
6) Painter :- One upper and Lower limb partially damaged.
7) PASAA :- Both lower limbs damaged.
(ii) Low Vision:- “Person with low vision” means


MODE OF APPLICATION:
a. The applications in the prescribed Proforma should be filled in the relevant columns with ball point pen in foolscap paper. The application should be accompanied with two self addressed covers – size 11” x 5” (SC/ST and PH candidates are exempted from enclosing self addressed cover).
b. Two recent passport size photographs should accompany the application form duly signed across by the candidate and attested by the Gazetted Officer. One Photograph should be affixed on the application in the space provided and another on the Call letter.
c. All Certificates i.e. Birth Certificate, Educational/ Technical qualification, Caste Certificate etc. should be signed and attested by the Gazetted Officer of Central or State Government with their Office Seal ,Otherwise application will be rejected.

Qualification : Passed Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

Minimum percentage of 50 % in aggregate is not applicable to those candidates who possess qualifications higher than matriculation such as HSC/Intermediate/Graduation/Post Graduation. Professional Qualification : i) Classical Dance-Bharatnatyam: Possession of Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Classical Dance (Bharatnatyam) from any Govt.recognized university/Deemed university/institute OR equivalent degree/diploma/certificate from recognized education Board.

ii) Classical Instrumental-Mridangam (Carnatic style): Possession of Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Classical instrumental- Mridangam (Carnatic style) from any Govt. recognized university/Deemed university/institute OR equivalent degree/diploma/certificate from recognized education Board.

Desirable :

(i) Experience in the field and performance given in AIR/Doordarshan etc.

(ii) Prizes won at National level.

Examination Fee :

(a) The examination fee for Unreserved and OBC candidates is Rs.40/-. The examination fee should be paid in the form of Indian Postal Order from any Post office or demand draft from any Nationalize Bank drawn in favour of FA & CAO, South Western Railway, Hubli and payable at Hubli. (b) Remittance of examination fee in any other form except Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order will not be accepted. (c) IPOs/DDs issued before the date of issue of Employment notice or after the closing date will not be accepted and the application will be rejected. (d) The particulars of Bank Draft/Indian Postal Order submitted as examination fee should also be indicated at the prescribed place in the application form. (e) Candidates must write their name, full address at the space provided in the Indian Postal Order/Demand Draft. (f) The examination fee is not refundable/transferable/adjustable under any circumstances.

Candidates should carefully read all the instructions given in the employment notification before filling the application form. Application as per the format given below shall be submitted on A-4 size good quality paper. The application format should be in English/Hindi language only and the application should be filled in English/Hindi language only. The applications submitted in other than English/Hindi languages will be rejected summarily. The application should be filled in by the candidate in his/her own handwriting and signed. The candidate has to affix one recent passport size photograph (recently taken) duly attested by a Gazetted Officer on the application in the space provided for the purpose. Candidate is also required to attach one extra passport size photograph along with the application. Serving government employees should send their application through proper channel duly forwarded by their controlling officials. The last date will not be extended on account of delay in transmission of the application by the concerned office. However an advance copy of the application can also be submitted. The Written examination can be attempted in languages English, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu and Oriya. There will be no interview. Final empanelment of the candidates for the required number of vacancies will be strictly on merit position obtained in the written examination duly following the community reservation rules for earmarked quotas specified in this notification and their passing the Medical Examination of the prescribed standard and document / certificate verification.

(ii) For PWD candidates, there is no Physical Efficiency Test but they have to appear in Written Test along with other candidates. Only those who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability will be considered as PWD candidate. They have to submit PWD certificate issued by a competent authority i.e. a medical Board duly constituted by Central or State Government consisting of at least three members out of which at least one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assessing Locomotor / Cerebral/Visual/Hearing disability as the case may be.

(iii) RRC/ECoR reserves the right to conduct second stage written examination if required.

(iv) The marks obtained in the Written Exam will determine the ‘merit order’ of the candidates, whereas PET is of ‘qualifying’ in nature.

(v) Date, time and place of Written Examination and PET will be fixed based on administrative feasibility. No request for any change in time, date and centre of examination will be entertained on any account.
